  1. What have you learned about your topic.

I have learned about the averages of different animals killed in the U.S each year. I also learned that animals have more rights in some places and less rights in some places.

  1. What have you learned about collaborating locally and internationally?

I learned that it is easier to collaborate with students locally because you can communicate quickly and easily. When it is international it is much harder to communicate back and forth. There are lots of ways that you can communicate thought, some examples are chat rooms, e-mail, and you can leave messages on the wiki and skype.

Without these tools you wouldn’t be able to share your ideas, thoughts, concerns, and communicate with others around the world.

  1. What would have made this project more interesting/ better/ easier?

This project would be easier if we could talk back and forth with are partners, since they are so far away it is hard to ask for advice or suggestions for our projects. It would be better if we could have more contact or suggestions from the other groups. I think it would be interesting to try different things like filming instead of editing or taking the photos.

  1. What have you learned about telling a story using text/ video/ audio/ music?

I have learned you can mix it around for example you can have a clip of video, then a few pictures, a page of information, back into some video then finish with some music there are many ways you can make an interesting video.

Homogeneous Mixture

Description: the word homogeneous is a solution and it means “same kind”.  A homogeneous mixture is more than one substance mixed together so well that it looks, feels and seems as though it is one substance and had dissolved together.

Examples: some examples of homogeneous mixtures would be Cool aid (any drink mixtures.), Jell-O, paint, milk, water, and air.

Heterogeneous Mixture

Description: heterogeneous mixture is a mechanical mixture. The word heterogeneous means ” different kind”. Not like homogeneous mixtures heterogeneous mixtures do not dissolve or mix so well that you would think that they were one substance, but you can see the different substances that are mixed together/ see the separate pieces in the heterogeneous mixture.

Examlpes: some examples of a heterogeneous mixture would be cement, trail mix, sand, bird seed, limestone,

Our ITL Videos and How They Are Turning Out

April 5, 2007

I really enjoy doing ITL videos (international teen life videos). It gives us a chance to learn how to import videos, pictures and text into one video and get our project across to people to really make them feel the emotion and let them learn a few facts about our concerns.

Although we do have a few challenges, like loosing pictures and information. We do make mistakes and mess up some stuff but we learn from them and don’t do it again.

We also have to make choices. We have to decide which picture would look the best in the video based on colour, shapes and emotion. We have to decide which pictures go along with the text, audio. Which notes/ facts need to be cut out or put in. also we need the text, music, audio all match up.

There a lot of different thing to get done and a lot of work but it all pays off and you end up with a good video.

A Few Answers To Blogicians Questions

April 5, 2007

This is an answer to some of the Blogicians questions. I hope I helped and I answered some of your questions well. :)

4. Well student in our class were telling our teacher, Mr. Fisher that they couldn’t think of anything to write about. Mr. Fisher said to us when you read you think about things to write about especially other people’s blog posts. So I had tried reading my blog lines ( an area of blogs that I have selected and when they ever write a post it is sent to my blog lines account and I can read through them) before I write a post a post and it really helps you think of a topic to write.

7. What is your favourite
or the most interesting thing you like about blogging?

I like a lot about blogging. One of my favourite things about blogging is that you can write as you wish, share your ideas, thoughts, questions, fact the list goes on and on. Then people can come and comment on your posts or leave tips to help you improve. I think it is a really good way to connect people around the world or to discuss different topics just the same way the internet does.

16. How do you feel when you get comments?

I really like when getting comments. It lets me know that people are reading and are interested. It is also good when they leave tips, advice about blogging or discuss the matter, topic or thought with you. I think it is great and it is always nice to leave a comment when you visit a site.
