What We are Doing with Our International Teenlife Projects and The Challenges and Adventeges Doing So

I really enjoy the international project that we are doing in class and with other classes located across the globe. Those that don’t know about it I will fill you in a little about it. Our classes along with three others are doing a project. The first thing we had done was over a skype call introduced our selves talked about our communities, what we do to pass time and a little about are daily lives.

We made videos also showing what are communities, school surroundings are like.

We then discussed some issues that took place locally/globally or nationally that concerned us or had an impact on us. Then we set up a wiki. We listed some ideas, thoughts, questions that we had. Then from there we made a chart listing topics and two kids from each different school in Virginia, Columbia and Malaysia and here in little snow lake what we were interested in. we then made a separate page for each topic to put all our information and research on. Then the kids from Columbia, Malaysia and Virginia are going to film videos. Then the videos are going to be sent to us in Snow Lake which we are going to edit.

It seems quite a lot to do for a project but it is quite interesting to find out the way that there life styles are and there thoughts and concerns about the issues that take place in there city, country, and the world. There are also the challenges though. It is hard to communicate back in forth with only the computer to communicate. We were thinking about e-mail to share our thoughts and suggestions to one another too. There also many other things that can go wrong like pages accidentally being deleted with valuable information or is lost through the internet. But that’s what makes it a challenge and helps us increase our learning ability around computers and learn what is really going on in the world.

Thanks for reading Elaine.
